Aeon Computing signs agreement with T-Platforms.Aeon Computing signed a reseller agreement with Russian HPC solutions manufacturer T-Platforms. Aeon Computing will be providing highly integrated HPC solutions based on T-Platforms TB2 series of high-density, QDR Infiniband enabled blade systems with inegrated nVidia Fermi GPGPUs as well as the T-Mini series of deskside personal cluster systems.

Aeon Computing Deploys 1 Petabyte Lustre Parallel Filesystem for the US Department of EnergyAeon Computing deploys 1 petabyte (1PB) Lustre parallel filesystem for the US Department of Energy and University of Maryland. The filesystem design is comprised of 48 QDR Infiniband connections, 736 2.0 Terabyte disk drives and Intel® Xeon 5500 processors and will be deployed concurrently with a new 448 processor Intel® Xeon 5500 based cluster and QDR Infiniband fabric. The awarded contract, in excess of $1 million, is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA).
